Bloomsbury is a garden set drawn in pastel. The dots are flowers in mixed colours, the bams are bamboo threaded with small blooms, and the craks are numbers in coral over white. Where most sets fall back on abstract marks, this one uses objects: watering cans on the winds, planted rain boots on the flowers, and flower fairies on every joker. The backs are a pale powder pink and the edges layer pink into lavender into mint, so the side of a wall is its own soft stripe. It reads as spring whatever month you play it in.
