Palm Beach Pink is loud on purpose. The backs are a saturated magenta, and because every tile is cut from four bonded layers you read the whole stack from the side, magenta into lime into cream. The faces stay bright white so the carving reads across the table. Dots are small flower rosettes in mixed pastels, bams are green bamboo with a bluebird on the one, and the craks are drawn as pink ginger jars. Winds are butterflies, the flowers are blue-and-white porcelain vases, and the jokers are a trailing pink koi. It is a resort set, not a quiet one.
