Violette is the most delicate set of the six. The craks are coral perfume bottles finished with a lilac bow, the bams are sprigs of lavender, and the dots are drawn as wax seals and small buttons in faded blue, rose and gold. The winds are script monograms rather than letters, the dragons are dragonflies, and the flowers are cut blooms in painted vases. Backs are a pale lilac and the layered edge runs coral into cream, which is unusual against the lilac and the reason the set photographs the way it does. Closer to a dressing table than a game cupboard.
